GOP Gives Rich Twice the Percentage Tax Cut as Middle Class

Not only did Republicans cut the top tax bracket for the 1%, they also lavished on them twice the percentage tax cut as everyone else. And they made sure the breaks for the richest would be permanent. 

That's exactly the opposite of what they did for the middle class. They wrote into the bill provisions that make tax cuts most used by middle class taxpayers gradually fade away over the next few years. Any tax cut for middle class taxpayers will shrink in the next 8-10 years. In some cases, taxpayers will find their tax bill is actually higher than before the "tax cut" bill became law.

The goal of Republican lawmakers is not to help the middle class or stimulate the economy. Their goal is to pay back their rich donors. That is what this tax bill does.
